Alumni Membership
Currently we have 69 financial members for 2026.
A big mihi nui to you all, your support is truly appreciated and needed.
We need more ex-students and staff members to join the Alumni. The Alumni will only be successful if we have the members to achieve the purpose of why the Alumni was set up.

Further to this, it also seeks to ensure that school events, Alumni activities, and Community-focused Kaupapa are coordinated in a way that reflects inclusiveness, intergenerational connection and a continued investment in the success and well-being of all those who are part of the OC, HC, SEHC whanau. – Extract from the Memorandum of Understanding between the OC,HC,SEHC Alumni and Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate (SEHC) Board of Trustees.
Alumni Elections 2026
We are now calling for any interested members who want to join the Alumni 2027 Executive Board.
As current Alumni members you have both an opportunity to join the committee and vote. The voting process will be done totally online.
Please consider whether you want to put your name forward to be on the 2027 Alumni Board – we are a very positive / proactive and passionate Board who have the best interests of SEHC students, staff and Community as key focal areas. Be prepared to work hard accordingly.
For this to take place, if you are interested, please forward to Erin via this email, a profile, with photo by 5.00pm Monday the 7th of September 2026. This must include a personal statement as to why you would like to and what you can bring to the Alumni Board to help achieve our Alumni Purpose.
After the 7th of September 2026 Erin will collate the emails of interested people and load the profiles and photos of the candidates onto our website. A voting page will then appear on our website and all financial members will have the opportunity to vote for the candidates they would like to represent them on the Board and submit. There are 7 positions available.
Voting will stay open for 3 weeks and then close on the 28th of September 2026 in time to announce the successful applicants at the completion of the 60th Year Reunion Celebration on Sunday the 4th of September 2026 during the Closing Ceremony Breakfast.
Note: All future Alumni elections will be conducted in accordance with the Alumni newly formatted Constitution which will be ratified by the newly elected OC, HC, SEHC Alumni Board in December 2026
SEHC
We have again visited SEHC Principal Christine Pili, this time on Thursday the 23rd of July 2026. The Alumni are currently setting dates with Christine Pili (SEHC Principal) to meet our MoU commitments.
Have you had a chance to look at the MoU posted on the Alumni Content page? – please take a look at this to see what both parties are responsible for.
Erin and I went to the allocated area for the Alumni Office / Storage, previously allocated, but this space had been taken up and was being used. We needed to have another location clarified. This was done and we will be moving into this area with all the archives on the 31st of August 2026.
SEHC Principal Request
We asked the Senior School Principal Christine Pili if there was anything the school needed support with. Christine advised that they need support with the Information Technology Block (IT).

Are there any IT technicians in the Alumni that could check the safety and use/audit of the current equipment they have, as they are wanting to reintroduce the STEM programme – Science/Technology/Engineering and Mathematics)?

The school marae needs their kitchen items audited and updated and secured.

SEHC are also in dire need of a canopy (cover) over the tennis courts which will cost approximately $500k. It would be wonderful to help / assist with getting funding for this project.
Update on Alumni Merchandise.
We have Phillip Malentino working on the second draft of our Alumni zip up hoodies and t-shirts.
We are getting samples of all sizes to ensure you will be happy with the fit. Very exciting stuff! These will be available sometime after the 60th Year Reunion Celebration
